Kentucky's First Whiskey Incubator

This inaugural release of Echoes of Oak is comprised of 23 meticulously hand-selected and blended barrels of Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, all crafted by Jim Rutledge. Aged between nearly 6 and just over 9 years, this bourbon features Jim’s preferred high-rye mashbill of 65% corn, 25% rye, and 10% malted barley at 107.2 proof.

Batch Description Notes

This batch greets your nose with sweet honey, vanilla, soft leather, lightly toasted oak, with a bright strawberry note.

On the palate, it’s as if those strawberries were left to stew on the oven, with sprinkles of zesty white pepper, some honey - backed by worn leather, and tart rhubarb, flowing into a warm, gentle spice.

The finish is full and lingering, moving from sweet fruit to savory oak, with lasting notes of warm baking spices, molasses and leather.
